Horse carriages and donkeys clop through the city centre, and there are plenty of charming cobbled streets to explore. If you’re out and about in the evening you will be entertained by the lively rhythms of salsa music playing on many street corners, and if you’re feeling brave why not mingle with the locals as they dance. Another bonus of visiting Trinidad is that the city lies within easy reach of some of Cuba’s most fantastic beaches. Among them is the stunning Playa Ancon, which is just a short drive from the city and is well worth a visit.
